A short trip into Canada: South Ridge Cemetery

Only about 1/4 mile over the Alburg, Vermont border and into Canada sits South Ridge Cemetery, and old cemetery that, at the time of my visit in 2009, was overgrown with grass & weeds (though from the sign posted, it would appear that they were looking for people to help maintain the cemetery. I wonder what ever happened with that. Anyone know?). This seemingly abandoned cemetery is the resting place of my 4th great grandparents, John Rember & Dinah Wilson, English immigrants who came to Quebec in 1820. I descend from them through their son, John, who was born at sea during their journey to Canada.

John Rember was born 3 May 1781 in England and died 29 May 1842 in Iberville, Quebec, Canada. He married Dinah Wilson on 16 Aug 1813 in Lowthorpe, Yorkshire, England. Dinah was born abt. 1794 in England and died in 1844 in Quebec, Canada.
